   This is followed by a transfer to the Dengfeng Shaolin Monastery. China's streets are very green and well maintained.

  The Shaolin Monastery was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. The current abbot was able to achieve the reconstruction of the monastery, which has been taking place since 1990.

We are greeted by a monk who shows us around the monastery.
