We are still out and about in Beijing late in the evening. The city is still full of life even shortly before midnight.
We visit a hairdresser and I get my hair cut a little shorter.
Corinna uses her cell phone to translate all of the hairdresser's questions and my wishes for the haircut.

The next day (Day 4 - May 9, 2024) on the way to the train station we drive through Beijing along an impressive skyscraper

When you arrive at the train station, you go through security checks immediately after
entering the entrance, the kind we only see at airports in Europe. Your luggage is scanned
nd everyone is checked for weapons and other dangerous objects.
The passengers do not wait on the platform like we do here, but in a waiting hall, and then get
to their platform and the train just before the train departs. The trains depart extremely
punctually. If it is clear that all passengers are on board, the train sometimes departs earlier.
